Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois

Wow, weekends are so full these days.  There’s always the decision of whether to stay home and GET THINGS DONE  like laundry, or cleaning the house, or just even putting laundry away, but then the city calls, or a new place to explore calls, or this time cousins from Michigan called and happened to be in the city for the weekend.  Now, when we lived in Colorado we didn’t really ever have this sort of other thing to do on the weekend.  Most family seems to live in the midwest, so we always missed out on the possibilities of seeing cousins, aunts and uncles, and such, due to our location.

Well it was quite fun to see Eric’s cousin and her family.  Iliana thoroughly enjoyed playing with their three children and we all enjoyed exploring Navy Pier in Chicago all because family was in town.  It was so much more fun than if it had been just us.  Yeah for being near a city that people want to visit!

  1. It was great to see you guys! I’m so glad Carol thought to email both of us so we could connect!

While heading home, both of the girls brought up the idea of visiting Chicago this summer…Even though it was a quick suggestion, Alayna really held on to the idea of coming down to maybe stay with you guys and Keatings! She is ready for an adventure of her own I think! Emily got to go to Oregon by herself a couple of years ago and now Alayna seems ready for a little jaunt. Anyways, as long as you guys are up for it…and if you move into a bigger place… maybe we will figure out a way to send her down. She would just love it!

We can’t wait to hang out with you at the reunion!
