My name is Kristin Brown. My maiden name is White. I live with my husband Eric, daughter Iliana, and son Emerson, in Boulder, Colorado. I am a stay-at-home mother and have been since my daughter was born in 2009. Prior to that I held many different jobs, but for the few years before Iliana was born I was practicing as a birth doula.
I graduated from The Naropa University in 2000, a Buddhist inspired college located in Boulder. I have a BA in Interarts: Concentration in Music and a Minor in Yoga. Unusual I know. I loved it there.
After graduating, I took off for India where I met my former spiritual teacher Shri Parthasarthi Rajagopalachari, who passed away on December 20, 2014. After my first trip in 2000, I traveled to India many more times, most recently in August of 2013, with my children.
I started blogging in 2009 with my husband, a long time hobby photographer, in a private blog as a way of sharing my first pregnancy. I soon decided to start Blossoming Twigs. The name inspired by my before children passion for gardening. This site has become a place to share about family, books, moving, second children, and mostly the little moments of life.
I like writing. It clarifies things for me. People get to know me in a different way through what I write and share. Anyone, anywhere can drop in, see what we’re up to and stay connected. I like that.
Welcome. Will you stay awhile?
